After establishing a robust foundation in Orthopaedics at the esteemed Central Institute of Orthopaedics, VMMC, and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, a super-specialty tertiary level medical college and one of India's largest government hospitals with sub-specialties in Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy, Spine, Trauma, and Pediatric Orthopaedics, Dr. Deepak Thakur delved into the realm of Joint Replacement Arthroplasty. Specializing in Primary and Revision Hip and Knee Replacement Surgeries, he pursued inland fellowships at DITO Sant Parmanand Hospital, New Delhi, and received specialized training in Revision Joint Replacement at Endoklinik & Asklepios Clinic, Germany—one of the world's largest centers for such surgeries.

Continuing his pursuit of excellence in knee arthroplasty, Dr. Thakur gained expertise in state-of-the-art Computer Navigation technology, elevating knee replacement procedures. Computer navigation guides the surgeon in precision cutting, creating, and aligning surfaces, ensuring accurate implantation of artificial components. Real-time monitoring on a computer minimizes human limitations and errors, redefining precision.

Progressing from navigation surgery, Dr. Thakur embraced the fusion of technology in joint replacement, undergoing training in the emerging field of Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery. His diverse skills, complemented by experience at one of North India's largest Joint Replacement Departments (handling approximately 1300-1500 joints per year) under DR.(Prof.)Surya Bhan at Primus Hospital, have sculpted him into an expert in joint replacement surgery.

Beyond surgical expertise, Dr. Thakur actively participates in various academic events and conferences across the country, conducting research and presenting papers on advancements related to joint replacement at national and international forums.
